Bosso are coming from their 17th game unbeaten – a 2-0 win Rufaro Stadium win over fallen Harare giants, Caps United on Saturday.
Gunners threw away home advantage to scratch a 1-1 draw with Hwange, but have promised to up their game against the team to beat this season.
Former Motor Action linkman, Masimba Mambare put on a Man-of-the-Match performance with a double strike that saw Bosso achieve a rare double over Makepekepe and extend their lead to five points off second-placed Dynamos, held to 1-1 draw by Harare City on Sunday.
Dynamos, having slightly slipped off pace with their perennial rivals, will have a chance to redeem their chances with a seemingly easy fixture against struggling Bulawayo minnows, Quelaton at the weekend.
Quelaton have only managed five points in 17 matches and travel to Harare at the back of an equally struggling Black Mambas, themselves facing a toll order from a Caps United side seeking to redeem lost pride.
Round 18 fixtures:
Dynamos vs Quelaton, Highlanders vs Gunners, Black Mambas vs Caps United, Shabanie Mine vs Motor Action, Hwange vs Harare City, Monomotapa vs Chicken Inn, Buffaloes vs WWS Rangers, Hardbody vs FC Platinum
