Under-19s eye Cricket World Cup

The Under-19 cricket team has promised a competitive show at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in Australia, where they first clash with Papua New Guinea on Saturday. The Zimbabweans are in Group C, where they also face India and West Indies.

“We have bright chances of progressing to the next stage. We have a strong team and I expect good performance from a couple of guys like Kevin Kusaza, Malcolm, Luke, captain Mathew Bentley and Kyle Bowie,” said ZC national development manager, Nick Singo.

The Chris Harris-coached side will meet India next Tuesday, before they face the West Indies on August 16.
