An update on the political environment in Zimbabwe

A case of political violence was recorded in Mudzi on 03 September 2012 where it is alleged that Mr. Claudious Nyamundara an MDC supporter was severely assaulted by Mr. Lovemore “Jigo” Chirapu a ZANU PF activist. The victim was assaulted for moving around encouraging people to vote ‘Yes” in the upcoming constitutional referendum. This did not go down well with Chirapu who assaulted Nyamundara all over the body using logs and sjamboks leading to the victim sustaining head
