According to the Mudzi North district information and publicity secretary, Kubvuruno Choga, two Zanu PF supporters only identified as Kambambaira and Bhobho attacked Mike on Wednesday.
However, Magura defended himself and the two made a false report to the police leading to his arrest.
Mike’s father, Sekuru Cephas died after a Zanu PF mob attacked MDC supporters who had gathered for a rally at Chimukoko Business centre. He fell after being hit by a rock and was further assaulted as he lay helpless on the ground. He was left for dead and his body was later found by the roadside where he had been dumped.
Mike is detained at Kotwa Police Station and is expected to appear in court soon.
