This conference will be held in Bulawayo on the 28th of September 2012 at Bulawayo Rainbow hotel. All major Residents Associations and other Civil Society organizations have been invited for this historic event considering that residents associations command the largest membership in the civic society hence they will chart the way forward with regards the constitution making process and mobilize people ahead of the COPAC 2nd National Stakeholders conference.
All political parties who were involved in the COPAC process will be present to air out their views on the current state of the draft and from there the residents shall speak their position. The residents will receive the draft and audit against the November 26 2011 conference declaration by Residents Associations
The conference is also expected to come up with a compendium of issues which shall form the basis of our jointly coordinated advocacy at a national level. As we march towards the second all stakeholders’ conference followed by the referendum, residents will speak in one voice their position on the COPAC draft.
