The 24-year-old crossed the line in 1 hour 15 mins as Zimbabweans dominated the 21,1-kilometre race and scooped all the podium finishes.
The Pretoria-based marathon runner beat compatriots Constance Nyasango and Muchaneta Gwata to second and third positions, respectively.
Another Zimbabwean, Thabitha Tsasa, was fourth.
“I am glad everything went well despite the event starting later than scheduled. Nonetheless, the weather was conducive,” Nyahora told The Zimbabwean after the race.
The year has proven to be the most productive for Nyahora, who has already won a race in Limpopo in recent months.
In June, she scooped silver in the annual Durban Spar Women’s 10-kilometre challenge.
She went one better the following month, winning the City of Polokwane Mayoral Half Marathon.
This followed a similar victory in the season-opening BestMed Tuks Marathon in Pretoria and a silver medal in the 10km Cape Town Spar Women’s Challenge.Post published in: Sport
