Dembare had been docked the points after their bouncers knocked down Hwange coach, Nation Dube before the two sides’ game in Harare earlier this season, but the ZIFA Appeals Committee passed controversial judgment that does not only benefit for the Harare giants, but also flies in the face of efforts to stem hooliganism in the local game.
What this apparently means is that, if you are Dynamos you can incapacitate your opponents through violence and still get to bag the points. Dube subsequently failed to sit on the bench and his side played that game without a mentor, something the PSL disciplinary committee and all progressive soccer lovers thought warranted a re-play.
However, the ZIFA decision propelled Dynamos to the apex of the log with a 4-2 win over Hwange, when not considering results of matches that were set to be played midweek.
Although Dembare were fined $1,000 for the violence, most still believe that is still not good enough to stop violence in the supreme football league.
Hwange have said they will also appeal the latest judgment, but they are not Dynamos and chances of a reversal ruling are slim.
