PSL roundup

Caps United, in an enduring drought for goals that has spanned close to a year, came close to collecting their first full set of points in five games over the weekend.

They shared the spoils with Buffaloes after a 0-0 draw at the Sakubva Stadium for an important away point that many wish will herald new fortunes for the struggling Harare giants.

Chief striker Evans Gwekwerere, who made his name at Dynamos, has not scored for the last 12 months, having last hit the back of the net on October 9 last year during a 2-1 victory over Chicken Inn at Luveve Stadium. His partner, Washington Pakamisa has scored once in the same period.

Clive Kawinga is yet to find the target in 10 months, leaving now-fired former Warriors goalkeeper, Edmore Sibanda, as their leading scorer with three goals. Sibanda became a victim of intra-boardroom squabbles last week.

On top of the log, Highlanders and Dynamos continued to lead, both registering victories over the weekend.
