Confex is an annual football business expo and a platform for knowledge transfer, best practise and business development between African and international football and business executives, including those from Zimbabwe, who have attended almost every edition of the event.
“The key goal of Confex 2013, to be held in April, will be to showcase the opportunities that exist within the sport for football and corporate sponsor executives,” said Programme Director, Edward Abankwa at the launch early this week.
“It will also showcase how to move beyond potential and opportunity into economic benefits for the various stakeholders in the game – sponsors, confederations, associations, clubs and other key components of football business.”
The most recent in the series took place at the same venue this year and was attended by 250 high-level football and business executives from Argentina, Botswana, DRC, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Netherlands, Nigeria, Qatar, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Switzerland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, United Kingdom, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
