
Tsarara acknowledges that he grew up being inspired by local rhumba artists Leonard Zhakata and Simon Chimbetu but says 2Pack and the Out Laws made him fall in love with Hip Hop music as a 10-year-old. “The man had an abundance of talent, working with mainly black communities sharpening their music skills, his legacy must live on,” he says.
He started singing in schools and public places and in 2003 performed with the group Vision Makers in an HIV& AIDS campaign. His first album talks about people who struggle to find basic necessities in life. “Hip Hop inspired me because it talks about real life situations and encourages those who are struggling,” said the artist.
