With the reigning league and cup champions chasing glory for the second time on the trot, the two Zambians have remained low on the pecking order and have seen little action during their stay in Harare.
Kaseloki was the first to complain on his Facebook wall recently and made clear his intention to leave the Harare giants. “I can’t wait to go back home, away from this place of favouritism,” he wrote.
According to some players at the club, the Zambians are faking injuries as a way of trying to force the club to get rid of them. Another player said that whenever coach Pasuwa has tried to have one of them in the final 18, they both feign injuries.
“These guys are no longer interested in staying here. They are now coming up with all sorts excuses not to play. Maybe that is the reason why the coaches are now leaving them out. They might do something to pull the team down,” he said.
The duo now hate Dynamos so much that they do not even attend the team’s home games when not selected in the final squad. One of the Zambians was recently overheard claiming that Dynamos did not pay their former club, Zesco United, and that they would return home. He also allegedly claimed that the duo was better than most players at Dembare, yet they were being overlooked for a starting berth.
Following news that the Zambians wanted out, Dynamos fans have started shouting all sorts of obscenities on different occasions, even threatening them with unspecified action. Kaseloki recently hit back at Dynamos fans who are fed up with the pair. “Stop posting sh** about me on your page b*****ds,” he posted on his Facebook wall recently.
Pasuwa rubbished the reported fallout, saying it was the work of those who wanted to see the downfall of his team. “Look, the team is now in top gear, as evidenced by our most recent results, so our rivals are now trying all sorts of tricks to disturb the momentum,” said Pasuwa.
“Everyone, including the two Zambians, is focused. They know what it means to play for a club with such a great history.” Dynamos are currently chasing their nineteenth title with 52 points, two ahead of perennial rivals Highlanders, who remain unbeaten in 22 games.
