Youth leader steps aside

Whilst many African countries and organisations are grappling with leaders who want to die and be buried in office, the first ever Youth Forum Chairperson, Madock Chivasa, exhibited a truly rare type of leadership when he willingly vacated his post the office at the recent Youth Forum Congress.

“I have worked wholeheartedly for the organisation and recorded my achievements as well as shortcomings and I believe for the organisation to move forward and continue to serve the needs of young people, I need to move on and let new leadership takeover,” he said.

He paid tribute to the cooperation he got from the secretariat led by Wellington Zindove, saying it made his job easier.
