Addressing youths at the Peace Crusaders Conference hosted by the Zimbabwe Peace Project, Tatenda Rusere said he had heard enough empty promises.
“We do not want politicians to use their platform to say children are the leaders of tomorrow, children are the future. We are saying enough of the flattery,” he said. He added that the youth should not be used as perpetrators of violence.
“We want a Zimbabwe where the youths are given an opportunity to air their views without any distractions,” Rusere said. ZPP director Jestina Mukoko said they were raising awareness among the youth so that they would not be manipulated by politicians.
