COPAC avails National Statistical Report on outreach exercise

The Parliamentary Select Committee (COPAC) has made available the national statistical report online ahead of the Second All Stakeholders Conference beginning on Monday.

This follows a ruling by High Court Judge, Justice Ben Hlatshwayo on Thursday directing COPAC to publish the statistical report before the Conference.

Danny Musukuma, a Harare man, had filed an urgent chamber application seeking an order to stop the conference until COPAC publishes the national statistical report.

COPAC chairpersons, Paul Mangwana, Douglas Mwonzora and Edward Mkhosi said the report detailing what the people said during the outreach programme is accessible on their website.

“The Parliamentary Select Committee (COPAC) would like to advise that the National Statistical report is available on its website www.copac.org.zw

“This report carries detailed information on the COPAC outreach process,” the COPAC chairpersons said in a statement.

The COPAC chairpersons said the hard copy of the report will be available from Sunday and ‘these reports will be in the custody of Provincial Administrators.”

“COPAC has no intention of hiding any information from anybody. All delegates attending the conference shall be given the National Statistical Report before the conference.”

The Conference that will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre ends on Tuesday.
