Diamond firm pays school fees

Diamond mining concern Marange Resources is assisting more than 300 pupils with school fees and supplementary feeding here and in the Arda Transau area where villagers were relocated from Chiadzwa.

The company has also completed renovating a clinic with a maternity wing and is involved in the construction of houses for relocated villagers. A total of 19 primary schools and seven secondary schools both in Marange and Arda Transau are benefiting from the supplementary feeding scheme.

Marange Resources Chief Executive, Obert Dube said the company was committed to helping the community in which it operated.
