
Uza, as she is affectionately known in music circles, has been working with her sister as a backing vocalist, but said she had now come out of her sister’s shadow and wanted people should see her as her own artiste and not compare her with Dudu.
“Being a sister to an established artiste like Dudu means that there will be inevitable comparisons between us – but I want people to see me as an individual musician, not as Dudu’s sister,” she said.
Songs that music revellers will certainly get down to include Nginje, in which she talks of her past experiences. “I was trying to tell what I have been through and how I handled my past experiences.I meant to say that I am the way I am because of how I reacted to different situations,” she explained.
Born in 1986, Zanele attended Foundation College in Nkulumane before enrolling at the Zimbabwe College of Music.
