1. Citizenship-Dual Citizenship
Dual citizen issue has been referred to parliament. We propose that the constitution should accord the right to dual citizen to all Zimbabweans.
2. Bill of Rights
We propose the right to life provided for in the Bill of Rights, be supreme, and therefore, outlaws the Death Penalty.
Further, we propose that amendments of the Bill of Rights be approved in a national referendum.
3. Executive Authority
We suggest that, in addition to the minimum age of 40, the constitution should provide for a maximum age limit of 70, for the President, ministers and other members of the executive.
We propose that the country should have only one vice President. We also welcome the idea of the vice president to be elected on the same ticket as the President.
5. Legislative Authority
We propose a one chamber legislature of not more than 150 all elected directly.
6. Electoral System.
We recommend that election of members be on a Proportional Representation system.
8. Security
We propose that the same provisions made for the police and defense forces, be extended to the security (intelligence) service, i.e. the intelligence service should be accountable to the intelligence service commission, and appointments in the service be by the commission. We also recommend the removal of the Correctional services from the security sector, because this is a civilian service.
