Dubbed When Mbira Meets Jazz, the show saw scores of people enjoying the beautiful sound surrounded by beautiful paintings. Munya Matarutse featured as the guest performer in a solo act with his acoustic guitar.

The two musicians then collaborated in the song Nalimikmwa. “I’ve learnt one thing from Hope – her belief in the power of collaborations and it has carried her far,” said the rising afro-jazz sensation.

Masike performed her hit tunes Dziva Rerudo, Machakaire and Sarah Takama’s Balance and promised a collaborative show dubbed When Mbira Meets Hip Hop on her return from Europe.

“Next month I will be collaborating with Monkey Nuts here at the National Gallery of Zimbabwe and I urge you to come witness the amazing thing that music can do in uniting people”, she said.
