Migi’s road to success

Local afro-jazz ensemble leader Telson ‘Terry’ Migi, whose group scooped the best accolade at the just ended Chibuku road to fame competitions, says the success has opened floodgates for more to emerge from the city.

Migi put together his group The Bliss after a long stint with Jazz guru Bob “Headmaster” Nyabinde. Famed for his fine vocals and bass guitar skills, the youthful musician who represented the province at the finals held in the capital, says a new era of jazz in Kwekwe has been ushered in.

He shrugged off a stiff challenge from Bulawayo-based group FaceBook Brothers,

Matabeleland North’s Binga Sound and Afrojazz outfit Tangapasi.
