Mutinhiri told the multitude of MDC supporters at White City stadium that she regretted being a Zanu (PF) member because of the party’s sharp appetite for violence and corruption.
“If Zanu (PF) was a God-fearing party, it would not kill innocent people, it would not abduct people and engage in corruption. A God-fearing party would not allow a situation where youths have no jobs,” said Mutinhiri.
Mutinhiri said she had managed to survive by the grace of God. She urged Zimbabweans to vote for the MDC-T in the next elections.
“Zanu (PF) ‘s time is now up and it has to go,” she said. The party’s president and Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai released 13 white
pigeons to signify the numbers of years the party has been in existence. As a sign of peace, Tsvangirai also distributed palm trees to the party’s provincial chairpersons. The trees will be planted at the all the party’s administrative offices throughout the country.
