When The Zimbabwean visited the club house, in Queenspark East low-density suburb, part of its roof was down and its sheeting scattered all over.
The strong winds also destroyed a nearby house, but the owner reported no damage.
“The roof was blown out by the winds and it’s quite amazing how we managed to escape unhurt. Our future has been shattered because we cannot afford to repair the damaged roof,” said David Khan, a pensioner who owns the house.
