The Town Clerk, who has been locked in negotiations with the councillors, has refused to budge.
If the local authority board approves Dondo’s $100 000 exit package, the development will worsen the already poor financial position of the council.
The local authority recently discontinued its income-generating project, Kadoma Liquor Marketing, due to lack of funds. Workers who were affected are still waiting to get paid amid revelations that their dues amount to over $50 000, money which the council has failed to raise.
Mayor Peter Matombo said the demands made by the embattled town clerk have been tabled before the local authority board for considerations.
