ZBC Cameraman faces Civil Imprisonment

The messenger of court in Bulawayo has attached property belonging to a Zimbabwe Broadcasting Cooperation (ZBC) cameraman, Tafadzwa Dube after the cameraman failed to settle $5000 hotel bill.

Since February this year, Dube has been staying at the Bulawayo Club hotel in the city .The hotel management was forced to approach the courts after Dube failed to settle the bill.

According to notice of property sale advert flightened by the messenger of court in a local daily newspaper on Wednesday, Dube's earthly property, a queen sized bed and a piano will be sold at a public auction on Thursday, the 11th of October at CIPF Complex along Khami road in the city. The debt has since ballooned as a result of legal fees and interest charges and Dube is likely to face civil imprisonment because the value of the attached property is far less

than the actual amount which he now owes the hotel.

Dube who joined ZBC two years ago has received several warnings from his bosses over his unbecoming misconduct after he conned several businesspeople in the past months. An official at the Bulawayo Club told the Zimbabwean a number of people whom he owes several amounts of money have been asking about his whereabouts.
