Zimbabwe Bodybuilding President, Shamim Hussein, told The Zimbabwean that the Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and Botswana were among those that had confirmed their participation. Top Zimbabwean bodybuilders Zumaile Meman, Tarirai Chirume, Givemore Marume, Partson Chatedzuka, Vincent Kandiero, Simba Dube and Victor Hungwe will also be there to showcase their talents.
The cash prize will be the biggest so far in any local body-building contest. Zimbabwe already has on its calendar such contests like Mr Musclemania, Mr Zimbabwe and Mr Ironman, as the muscle-flexing sport continues to grow, but this contest is bigger than all those.
The sport is one of the few that continue to attract sponsorship, as it draws a large and enthusiastic following throughout the country.
