City Sports Bar proprietor and organiser of the event, Biggie Chinoperekwei, told The Zimbabwean that the winner and two finalists of Mr Ugly Zimbabwe would enjoy an all expenses paid trip to the final. “We will be spending more than $10,000 on prizes alone,” revealed Chinoperekwei.
“As for now we are still billed for City Sports Bar but there is a chance that we can move to a bigger venue and City Sports Centre might be ideal as the event has become popular among many people,” he added. More than 20 participants are expected to take part at the grand finale. Provincial finals are currently under way.
Harare provincial winner William Masvinu is one of the strong contenders to win the coveted prize.
