Mutinhiri exposes Zanu’s ‘murderous’ strategy

The MDC should be united ahead of coming elections in order to dislodge Zanu (PF) that is made up of “murderers”, MDC-T National Organising Advisor and former Zanu (PF) Marondera East MP, Tracy Mutinhiri, has said.

Mutinhiri told some 100 party members gathered at the MDC-T Mashonaland East Provincial Offices for a party Women Get Together feast last Saturday that Zanu (PF) used murder as a strategy to stay in power.

“Zanu (PF) thrives on violence and other forms of heinous activities such as murder. Unlike MDC, which gains popularity through peaceful means, Zanu (PF) would resort to coercive strategies and can do anything to force supporters into its camp,” she declared.

She dismissed the notion that she was part of the Zanu (PF) violent campaigns.

“My life in Zanu (PF) was all hell, since I did not approve of violent behaviour. I lived in the party uncomfortably, like the biblical Jonah in the stomach of the fish. I have no regrets for being expelled from Zanu (PF), as this gave me the opportunity to expose the former ruling party,” she said.

Mutinhiri added that Zanu (PF) was a cruel party that did not want to allow Zimbabweans to access job opportunities, education and health facilities. She told the cheering crowd that Zanu (PF) committed political suicide by expelling her from the party.

“Dismissing an influential national commissar of my calibre was the most serious blunder Zanu (PF) would ever make. I wield so much political influence and power, that Zanu (PF) supporters running into thousands if not millions will follow me to the MDC.”

Mutinhiri said her trouble in Zanu (PF) started when she preached peace and reconciliation when Zanu (PF) activists were terrorising MDC-T supporters in the province.

“Since Zanu (PF) is a politically intolerant party, it described me as a traitor for preaching peace. I made it clear to villagers that perpetrators of violence should face justice. This did not go down well with the party of violence and murderers,” said Mutinhiri.
