A group of disgruntled individuals are said to be plotting to expose his own acts of corruption, with sources recently telling The Zimbabwean that a massive fight-back about allegations of vote buying two years ago was being orchestrated.
Zifa slapped recently 15 individuals with life bans for their alleged participation in the worst ever match fixing scandal to rock Zimbabwe, but there were concerns that the Asiagate issue became a platform to settle personal scores. “The general feeling is that if they expose him now, that will be dismissed as an act of vengeance but eventually, they want him to swallow a bitter pill. Their mainstay is that some of the people Dube banned for life were privy to the goings on when he bought councillors and now they are only waiting for time to hit back.
“We are receiving threats, we have received threats, and we are going to receive threats, but let me reiterate that we are not going to stop”.
“Some are even suggesting that we should be eliminated… we advise all our affiliate leagues, events committees and security organs to be on the lookout for banned individuals who may want to sneak into football events and functions,” said Dube.
