According to Jameson Timba, who is Minister of State in PM Tsvangirai’s office, Tamborinyoka is showing signs of recovery from the injuries that he sustained in an accident that he was involved in while visiting his rural home in Domboshava.
He was driving a Toyota Prado which burst a hind tyre before overturning several times and landing on its roof.
His brothers who traveled with him sustained minor injuries.
“Luke is recovering by the day. He is still in hospital. Because of the nature of injuries that he sustained, it may take long for Luke to recover. For now, it’s too early to talk of absolute recovery, considering that he broke nine of his ribs in the accident, consequently perforating his lung,” Timba told The Zimbabwean.
Timba said Tamborinyoka was now conscious, but was being restrained from talking to people.
“Tamborinyoka is now conscious and can see you now, but he can’t talk to people because of the medical gadgets,” said Timba
