The Ninja President, as he is known by his fans, seems to be settling a score with Mukanya who once labelled him as a fly-by-night artist who couldn’t last the distance in the music industry with his “bubble gum music”.
In his latest song titled Tsamba yangu Kuvashakabvu Winky D lampoons Mapfumo as a fading giant who has been completely overshadowed by Oliver Mtukudzi.
The song is on the Dancehall chanter’s latest album, Life Yangu, which is already causing shock waves on the radio and among his many fans.

Hi Winky D Congradulations for doing so good in your music business but please the old man alone. This journey is long one and I think both Mukanya and Tuku are up there in the hall of fame as far as Zimbabwean music is concerned. So do your part young man and desist from critisising others. They say in shona ‘seka urema wafa’. Anyway keep working hard you are in the right path one day you will be a leged if you take Mukanya’s critisism constructively.
