Chipanga confided to The Zimbabwean in a touching interview that he will not rest until he knows what killed his child. The visibly grieving sungura star said the post mortem report has given him more questions than answers regarding the death of his son – Delight.

He still hopes to meet his son somewhere, saying the events leading to his death were just too sudden. According to the post-mortem, “the cause of the death was undetermined” yet Delight’s liver was brownish in colour, a point Chipanga suggests should have been probed further by the medical experts. “Up to now I don’t know what killed my son. The doctors have not been able to give me answers. How can my soul rest when I am still hanging? I need to be at peace with myself by finding answers to my son’s death,” he said.

The outspoken music guru said he suspects that the report was to cover up the shoddy job done by the previous doctor who attended to his son. He is putting his hopes in the media to dig up the hidden truth behind the death before looking for spiritual answers.

“My tears are not yet dry. I am now resting my hopes in the papers. Maybe they can expose the truth. If this fails, I will be left with no option but to search for spiritual answers,” he said.
