Irfa Ellahi (38) and Khani Zubair (31) appeared before magistrate Fortunate Madondo. They were arrested on November 1 at around 10am by police at Sunshine Lodge where they were staying.
On October 29 the pair unlawfully entered the country without reporting to Immigration authorities. The two, who were not represented in court, pleaded guilty to the offence saying they were not aware of the country’s laws. Their passports were used as exhibits in the court.
Madondo sentenced the two to a 30 day imprisonment with an option to pay a $100 fine for flouting the country’s immigration laws.
