Imagine that some households are child-headed and some households are headed by grannies whose offspring died long ago. There is no one to give them money for mutero. Is government assistance received by taxpayers only or all the people? I think our traditional leadership need to be educated on government and donor assistance distribution.
We also need to learn how to be a tolerant society. People should stop harassing those who think differently. I went to Sadza Growth Point last week to buy my airtime for resale. While there I got independent newspapers for distribution in our ward. On my way to board a bus I was approached by five guys who started to harass and question me. They even tried to impound my handset and told me to return the papers where I got them but I refused.
One of the guys, Percy who is a general hand at Sadza Council told them of my last week’s Studio 7 report on maize seed politicisation. I then picked up my phone and left. – Obvious Benhura, Chikomba East
