Afcon tickets sell fast

The Afcon ticket centre said tickets for South Africa’s quarter-final match were sold out a day after they qualified for the second stage of the competition. Bafana Bafana will meet West Africans, Mali at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Saturday, but tickets were sold out before Mali even qualified, courtesy of their 1-1 draw with the DRC.

The sold out signs went up Monday afternoon, following high demand after Bafana were confirmed as Group A winners after their 2-2 draw with Morocco. Durban’s Moses Mabhida 54,000 capacity stadium has provided a carnival atmosphere for both matches Bafana have played.

Tickets for the other quarter-final tie between Group B winners Ghana and Group A runners-up Cape Verde, were also selling fast, as fans seek to take in the last bit of the action before the tournament draws to a close in less than two weeks.
