Makumbe collapsed yesterday morning and was pronounced dead at Arcadia Medical Centre around 11am.
A memorial service for Makumbe was held today at Nyaradzo funeral parlour in the capital.
His body will lie in state tonight at his home in Msasa Park and will be ferried to Buhera tomorrow.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia and three children.
Mourners are gathered at 12 Ashburton Avenue, Msasa Park.
