SA legends to tour Zim

Former South African Rugby legends are expected to conduct coaching clinics around schools in March.

The move is aimed at developing grassroots level support for the game.

The legends, who last year conducted coaching clinics at eight schools at the Mutare Sports Club under the South African Rugby Legends Association, will this year be led by ex- Springbok 2007 World cup winning player, Percy Montgomery, whose 15 penalty conversions in the final powered the Springboks to a 16-5 2007 World Cup final win over England at the Stade de France.

He was also part of the eight-member team that visited last year.

“This is an important event for us that will help us and we hope the kids will learn a lot from those stars,” said Manicaland Rugby Association president, Richard Chiwandire.
