Songs of unity a success

“I use music as a unifying tool for daily social activities. We need unity as African women. I know that everyone listens to music hence I communicate my messages through it. I am involved in women’s activities on a daily basis and this is helping me to push my unity agenda in the industry,” said the 25-year-old fully qualified accountant.

Featured in the album are hit songs Dzora Moyo, Marry me, Ndoda Kukutora, Murume Andinetsa, Usaore Moyo, Vamwene Vangu, Kana Ndinewe remix (Original Version by Nox Guni, and two bonus tracks, Swedera Padhuze and My Song to you .

The album has received a positive response from various radio stations in Botswana, South Africa and other prominent online radio stations.

“After recording my singles tracks a few years ago I was convinced that I was never going to record another song again. I was surprised by the way people received my music as they kept asking for more. My fans are definitely going to see a lot of me in the near future. A few days after the release of this album various radio stations are already jostling for my copies,” added Matanhire.

Harare-born Matanhire started singing in 2003 and recorded a single entitled, Uchandifunga. She also works as an accountant for a private company in Botswana.
