Sheila Mutenhu in her underwear confronts US Ambassador.

She allegedly removed her skirt and blouse in protest against the beating of more than 50 of her fellow WOZA members by the police in Bulawayo.

Sheila Mutsenhu, a Zanu (PF) member, caused a stir in Mutare when on January 26 she stripped before the US Ambassador Bruce Wharton who was in the city to visit a local library, in protest against targeted measures against various Zanu (PF) individuals for human rights abuses. Despite photographic evidence of her in her underwear being published, Mutsenhu has not even been questioned by police and continues to go freely about her daily life. She has actually threatened to strip again: “There is no going back in my antics. What you saw is small. Bigger things are coming because enough is enough.”

The ZRP has consistently denied that it is partisan in its dealings with perceived opponents of Zanu (PF).
