The all-night launch will see musicians like P.O.Y, T9yce, Promethues Karizma, Vanessa and Crimzone Blu performing. Assassin assured his fans that the album would stand the test of time.
“The tracks are in Shona and English. The album will be quite diverse. Tracks include Ishe Tenzi featuring Goodchild, where I talk of my personal life. All the songs are written in my own Hip Hop style. I took more than three years preparing this album as I have been focusing on the singles, but now it’s a defining moment for my fans to enjoy my hard work,” he said.
Other hit songs on the album include Amai, Fear (of Dreams), Tamba Bhebhi, Black Hope, Women abuse and crime, City is Mine, Idhara Vamwe and Mese Muchiri Mutamba.
For the past year Assassin has been releasing singles which made him prominent in the country’s music industry. Born Tichaona Monera in 1981 he spent the early years of his life in Highfield. He started writing songs and performing at high schools gigs. Between 1999 and 2001 he made significant progress on the local music scene. Shortly afterwards he left for the United Kingdom where he re-launched his career.
