The star-studded video is being produced by Simba G, who has worked with prominent urban groovers such as Stunner and Sani Makhalima. The video, which boasts of Mutare’s re-emergence on the hip-hop calendar, features two eligible emcees – Flexxo and MK47 of the “Matindingoma” fame.
“M-Town”becomes the third video for the Mutare-based rap genius. Kritic Igwee has already shot two videos, “Rolling” and “Can’t Wait to Meet You” featuring Tsitsi Lola. He recently recorded another future hit track called Moto featuring KG-40 and 4Eva.
Kritic has been promoting his music at various hip-hop conversions such Mashoko Festival and the National Gallery of Zimbabwe Music and Poetry Session. He is working on an album which he said would combine old and new tracks.
Kritic first stepped onto the local hip-hop scene as part of an underground group called Players World, formed in 2000. Together with KG-40, Conman, DX and Noah (as PW), they recorded two demo tapes, which found their way on the national airwaves courtesy of Power FM DJ Innocent Chuma before the group disbanded.
