Prof Ncube has long admitted that he is not electable material. In an interview with a local weekly he revealed that all he could predict as an outcome of the 2013 election was a second GNU. It is obvious that Tsvangirai is the only man with a real chance of beating Mugabe in the election. He did it in 2008, and there is nothing to stop him from repeating the same in 2013.
We Zimbabweans made Mugabe the dictator that he is today, because we ululated too far, we hero-worshiped him as the God-given saviour who brought us independence, and forgot about the corruption tendencies that come with total power. We allowed him to dictate the pace, until he got himself absolute power through amending the constitution to suit his greed. That is a mistake that will never happen again, so Tsvangirai will never be another Mugabe.
People of Zimbabwe, let us remain focused on removing dictatorship in Zimbabwe. We have learnt from our mistake, and let us not allow Tsvangirai to be the next dictator when he becomes Zimbabwe’s next president. – Benjamin Chitate, New Zealand
