He accused his former label of failing to provide proper marketing and distribution support to his previous album “Bhora Pasi.”
“The lack of proper marketing and distribution has been the major setback to break into the country’s top list. A good example is the absence of our last album ‘Bhora Pasi’ in record bars, yet it is still in demand,” he lamented.
Though his move to Diamond Studios partially delayed the release of his latest offering “Zvipere Zvipere,” the Ochestra Vazvamburi frontman said it provided better business conditions. “Diamond are providing a lot of things our previous label was unable to, especially marketing which has been our biggest let down,” said the nimble-fingered star.
The former Utakataka express bass guitarist revealed that under the new deal, Diamond will provide instruments, allow them to play with one of their musicians Romeo Kasa of Extra Valembe and provide 50 promotional copies of their latest album.
Mudhindo rose to stardom during his stay at Utakataka Express as a bass guitarist before taking a solo path under his new ensemble Ochestra Vazvamburi. He has recorded five albums, including “Vazvamburi Vauya” “Poto” and “Mazirume”.
