Sithole, who picked himself up at Dynamos last season, after he was rejected by another Pretoria-based side – Mamelodi Sundowns, recently penned a three-year deal with Matsantsantsa a Pitori.
Sithole joins a list of other former Zimbabwean players like Joel Luphahla, Makwinji Soma-Phiri and Tembo, who have turned out for the Blue and white-clad former ABSA Premiership champions. Luphahla and Tembo were highly-regarded at the club.
“Sithole is a great striker destined for greater heights,” said Tembo. “He is the kind of player that any South African club coach dreams of having in their team. He will definitely be our main man in the quest to return to the glory days that saw us crowned champions three times in a row a few seasons ago.
“He came at the right time, as the PSL championship race is getting tougher. We missed many scoring opportunities in the first half of the season, but with him, we are confident that the problem has been dealt with,” said the Zimbabwean-born Tembo.
Sithole had a forgettable stay at Sundowns, who did not give him a chance to play since his arrival from Caps United, where he had scored an incredible 10 goals in 10 starts. He opted for termination of his contract and returned home last September to pick up the pieces at eventual league champions Dynamos, where the former Shooting Stars striker rediscovered his scoring touch and helped DeMbare retain a league and cup double.
