SPCA seeks help

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is appealing for assistance iin cash and kind from members of the public for the refurbishment of the animal’s hospital and kennels.

This follows a sharp rise at SPCA of a dog population that are being lost, abandoned and injured.

“The dog and cats that are lost, abandoned and injured and neglected are pouring through our doors,” said SPCA.

The Harare SPCA is attempting to rebuild the kennel, starting with the convalescence block at the surgery which is in dire need of upgrading and refurbishment.

The wish supply list includes: 140 pockets of cement, 60 packets Impermo, five sheets S078 (or similar), mesh reinforcing, 70m squared black sheeting, 6000 common bricks, two rolls 230mm brick-force, 50 meters 152×38 pine timber-roof-beams, nine meters 114×38 wall plate,

22 sheets 3.0m Endurite Asbestos roof sheet, 11 pairs Endurite ridges and 130 drive-screws and washers.
