With the promise of national elections, and with no accepted constitution, there is much speculation into the future of the country’s political development as the video shows the outright sabotage of public meetings. Furthermore, the video also shows how the delay in the process further exacerbates the severe socio economic challenges the country faces ranging from a lack of clean running water to even basic public sanitation services.

Zimbabwe: The road to the Constitution
With a view to the future of the country, a progressive constitution that all parties could agree on was deemed essential. In 2009 a committee (COPAC) was setup to review and draft the forming of a new and fair constitution and make sure that all stakeholders had their say in the process. However, years and $45 million later, the process has not yet been completed with party tampering and sabotage being largely blamed for the delay.
