ZIFA Chief Executive Jonathan Mashingaidze said a sponsor had been roped in for the competition.
“A Harare company will be bankrolling Beach Football in Midlands. I understand they have spoken to Midlands Sands to get the coarse soil needed in constructing stadiums, which will be erected in the near future,” said Mashingaidze.
The development would see the country tap talent for the game, which at the moment is centralised in the capital.
“We encourage all Midlands people who feel they can play the game to come up in their large numbers and help the country build a stronger national team,” added Mashingaidze.
ZIFA is still battling to improve the game’s fields after CAF ruled the one at the Chitungwiza Acquatic Complex unfit unsuitable for international matches, forcing the country to play its home games in neighbouring South Africa.

Beach football and futsal (not fustal) are different sports. Beach football will not help you to play futsal, as futsal is an indoor sport.
