“l’m leaving to bury my brother in his village in Plumtree, but after a week l will be back to help find those murders who killed my brother. We know that they are hiding somewhere but their time of running will be over and justice will be done,” said Mayibongwe before he crossed the Musina border.

Leo was axed to death while playing cards on Friday at the squatter camp near Faraday taxi rank. He died on the spot and his friends, known only as Felix and Jeniver, ran away from the scene and are in hiding. The suspects are believed to be from Binga and Lupane in Matabeleland North.

“My brother was a quiet, kind person who loved to associate with his friends. Why didn’t they leave my brother alive, rather than killing him like a goat, we ask the community to help us in the searching of the suspects?” said his cousin Fanuel Ncube

Warrant officer Xoli Mbele of Johannesburg Central Police said there was no such case reported. “We will help the families whenever they come and lay charges against the suspects and we are prepared to help them to arrest them, “ he said. – Anyone with information can contact – 011 4977 420-011 4977 378
