“We are delighted with the performance of those two top class players in our camp. Since they joined the club, their presence has always been felt and from what we have seen, more is still to come,” said Prins.
“Mapemba has worked his way up and it is no fluke that he has become our regular defender at the right back. The team has been struggling at times, but he is always on top of his game. His countryman, Machapa, has been rising to the occasion whenever he has been used and they are both hard workers who remain valuable to the team.”
Prins guaranteed a long future at the club for the duo, saying “Everyone in the management is happy with these players and the coach, Zerca Marques, is impressed with their high work rate. He kept telling us that they are part of his great plans for the team beyond this and next season. Their experience has also brought some stability into the team. They are the kind of players that don’t give up easily, even when the team is under tremendous pressure.”
