In Hurungwe West, about 50 kilometres west of Karoi town, there were no local or international observers although some from Southern Africa Development Community had jetted in to observe the ongoing referendum.
Kahonde and Karereshi polling stations under Chief Nyamhunga had no observers at all.
Movement for Democratic Change Member of Parliament for the constituency, Severino Chambati, said: “I am still yet to meet local or international observers within this constituency”.
In Karoi town, there were only three local observers who were covering about 10 polling centers.
One local observer who refused to be named acknowledged that a few observers had been deployed in the province, describing the voting atmosphere as peaceful.
