According to Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition, there was a significant increase in the number of people who were arrested by police during the referendum from mid-day up to the evening.
"Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights provided legal assistance to several people who were arrested and subsequently detained as they exercised or attempted to exercise their right to vote during the referendum," said Crisis in an update.
