Zuze happy with preps

Monomotapa coach, Biggie Zuze, said this week that he was happy with the club’s preparations for the coming season. “We have done enough preparations for the league and I must say that I am happy with what I have seen at training so far,” said the former Dynamos star player.

“Everyone seems to be at their best and that includes our new signings, who have not taken long to settle in. One of our most impressive new signings is Ishmael Lawe who signed a three year contract with us, after his former side, Gunners were relegated at the end of last season.

“He is the kind of player we have been missing for a very long time. He has skill, strength on the air and is very fast. I believe he will be one of the players to watch this season”.

Monos finished last season places fourth on the 16-team PSL log and one of their stars, Ronald Chitiyo, was chosen among the league’s 11 top performers of the season.

“I think this season we have players capable of leading us to some silverware and even a more respectable league position. We might be experiencing some financial challenges, but I promise that we will match the so-called big clubs pound-for-pound.”
